Playing Resumé:
Alex started playing at the age of 13 with Newtongrange Band and went on to study the trombone at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. At that time, he was principal trombone with the European Community Youth Orchestra for three years.
He followed a career as a professional freelance trombone player in London, also playing with leading orchestras throughout Britain and in London’s West End theatres.
Alex has now settled down to a teaching career in Midlothian.
