Chris Bradley began playing trumpet at the age of 12 with Jimmy Hillis.  He joined Clydebank Burgh Band on 3rd cornet and soon got the bug for banding.

Chris studied trumpet at the RSAMD from 1981 – 1984 and joined Whitburn Band on Flugel Horn, in 1984.  During his studies he won the prestigious Governor’s Recital Prize for Brass and was featured as a soloist with NYOS in 1984, playing The Arutunian Trumpet Concerto.  Chris completed his studies with a postgraduate year at Goldsmith’s College,

obtaining a high merit diploma in Orchestral Studies.

Chris entered the music profession in 1985 playing with Scotland’s orchestras, however despite his heavy schedule, he never broke his ties with Whitburn.  He has since played on every seat in the cornet section. Chris won the prestigious Terris Medal for the best cornet player at the Scottish Championships in 2008.

Chris currently teaches brass in North Lanarkshire schools and enjoys conducting various bands throughout the country.

Ambition:  to juggle family life with band, work, running, learning French and of course, time for his beloved wife Evelyn!
