Playing Resumé:
Mel started playing cornet with Livingston Brass Band at an early age, staying there until she joined Whitburn Band in 1992. She also played principal cornet with the West Lothian Schools Brass Band that won the National Youth Brass Band Championships in 1985 and has appeared in numerous winning quartet performances.
